Command Line Support

Ace Utilities supports two basic command line options.

Each of the above options has sub-options. They are explained below:

The tasks option

   option             action
 r  scans and cleans registry
 h  erases history
 j  removes unneeded files
 s  removes invalid shortcuts

Remarks

The cleaning tasks uses the current settings. The main interface will not be shown. Instead, a small window will be shown.

After scanning, the entries found will be deleted automatically, without asking the user for confirmation.

Examples

To run just unneeded file remover:
"c:\program files\aceutils.exe" /tasks:j
To run just history eraser:
"c:\program files\aceutils.exe" /tasks:h
To run both unneeded file remover and registry cleaner:
"c:\program files\aceutils.exe" /tasks:jr
To run unneeded file remover, registry cleaner & history eraser:
"c:\program files\aceutils.exe" /tasks:jrh

The launch option

   option             action
 r  launches the registry scanner utility
 h  launches the erases history
 j  launches the remove junk files
 s  launches the remove invalid shortcuts
 u  launches the uninstaller
 a  launches the startup manager
 d  launches the duplicate file finder

Examples

To run just unneeded file remover:
"c:\program files\aceutils.exe" /launch:j
To run just history eraser:
"c:\program files\aceutils.exe" /launch:h
